The watch brand Mido was founded in 1918 by the Swiss watchmaker Georges Schaeren and still bore the name G. Schaeren & Cie. In 1924 his brother Henri joined the company. The name Mido comes from the Spanish Yo mido. Today the company has its headquarters in Le Locle, in the Swiss Jura. Mido watches are sold by 2,400 official dealers in 50 countries. The brand belongs to the Swatch Group, world leader in the watch industry.
Mido's Multifort collection was launched in 1934, two years after the inauguration of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Since then, it has been an important pillar of the brand's corporate history. Architecture and the art of Swiss watchmaking still share a special characteristic: a compromise between utility and aesthetics. The simple and fine lines of the ladies' and men's watches are a typical Mido design. A high-quality Swiss automatic movement ensures precision and efficiency.
