I have an 13 years old Pro Trek that still serves me well, but I decided it is time to get a new one, with all latest bells and whistles, but without being a smartwatch, because I don't like having another device that requires charging every two days or so.
I decided to get this model, although I like most of the current generation.
I am very happy with this watch. It has so many useful functions, for an outdoor person, like myself. I constantly use the altimeter and barometer when I'm trekking or climbing and the sensors are way more precise then my old Pro Trek. For example, the altitude measurements showing every meter in elevation, in contrast to 5 meters on my old watch.
Also, being solar, I don't have to worry about changing the battery.
Moreover, atomic! I only need to set the time once and not worry any more. Even if I live at the 1500km limit of the wave signal from the Mainflingen tower in Germany (Bucharest), my Pro Trek still syncs from time to time if placed next to the window inside the house, or every night if I attach it to my bike's frame which probably acts like an antenna.
And the last things, the watch is lightweight, I don't feel it on my wrist when I wear it (probably because I'm used with some heavy stainless steel watches like Seiko SUN 023) and the band is made out of a rubber or silicon that is super comfortable and pleasant to the skin.
Lastly, a shutout to Uhrzeit which made a very generous discount for this watch and providing such a good client service.
