The watch itself is excellent in all respects while the OEM strap is of medium quality in that it picks up all kind of dirt, lint, etc. and also it tends to fray on the edges.
After one week I changed the strap and now I am happy but this is hardly acceptable on a watch of this price.
I have another watch with this kind of strap and the quality is above reproach so I have proof it is not the type of strap but the inherent quality of the Alpina one.
