The DUGENA watch brand originally represented the Union Horlogre, an association founded in 1900 by watchmakers in Switzerland. 17 years later, the watch factories Biel-Geneva and Glashütte merged to form the United Glassworks ALPINA, which shortly afterwards began to produce in Germany under the name "Alpina Deutsche Uhrmachergenossenschaft".
In 1942, Alpina was finally renamed DUGENA in Berlin. Since that time, the circle has stood in a triangle - the DUGENA trademark - as a sign of the highest watchmaker quality in Germany.
Dugena watches combine technical utility with sophisticated, modern design. Reliable quality and a good price-performance ratio have characterised the brand since its inception.
