The watch brand Mido was founded in 1918 by the Swiss watchmaker Georges Schaeren and still bore the name G. Schaeren & Cie. In 1924 his brother Henri joined the company. The name Mido comes from the Spanish" Yo mido", which means "I measure". Today the company has its headquarters in Le Locle, in the Swiss Jura. Mido watches are sold by 2,400 official dealers in 50 countries. The brand belongs to the Swatch Group, world leader in the watch industry.
