Hamilton Ventura watches

The Hamilton Watch Company was founded 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hamilton reached fame through its very first collection, and bared the catching name: "Watch of Railroad Accuracy".

These precise Hamilton watches helped reduce the horrific number of railway crashes of that time, and would so become the foundation of this companies success story.

Hamilton was able to reach even more fame as a US-Army supplier. The famous General Black Jack equipped his soldiers fighting in the trenches with Hamilton wristband watches.

During the second world war, Hamilton only produced military watches and clocks. The first battery powered Hamilton-watch appeared in 1957 under the name Ventura, which gained fame through Elvis Presley in the movie "Blue Hawaii".

On the 6th of May 1970 at 12:01 the first hour of a Hamilton digital watch struck.
