The story of the watch manufacturer Kerbholz begins in 2011 with a trip to Mexico. On this journey two of the founders get to know the material wood from new sides. The timeless, natural and always warm and organic material still has a lot of potential in fashion. Since 2012, Kerbholz has been offering accessories made of sustainable materials and is always on the lookout for new material possibilities. In the design of the watches and sunglasses, the conservation of resources is consistently taken into account and for every product sold, the company donates to the PrimaKlima e.V. reforestation project.

The first Kerbholz watch collection appeared in March 2014 and has since received a lot of encouragement from outside. The watch manufacturer incorporates a simple and restrained design into all collections, which further underlines the beauty of the wood. Both ladies and gentlemen will find their new favourite companion here. Further technical improvements throughout the collection ensure, that Kerbholz watches are even more stable and easier to handle.

The Kerbholz comes from the Middle Ages, where it was originally used as a promissory note on which the debt to be paid was "notched" by the lender. The company has transformed this meaning and made it its philosophy: memories that can be notched into its tally. Memories of the beautiful hours in which the clock accompanied you, on New Year's Eve, when you looked at the clock to start the countdown. These notches, these memories stick to every Kerbholz product. Thus the product becomes the "tally-wood" of their beautiful memories and emotions.
