About adidas watches

Of course Adidas is long known far beyond the circle of sportspeople. Who doesn’t recognise the famous three stripes, that are an indispensable trademark of this cult-brand?

Adidas’ history beginns in 1949. Adolf Dassler establishes adidas in Herzogenrauch, Germany. The name adidas comes from „Adi“ the short form of Adolf, and the first three letters of his surname: Dassler. The company’s success really kicked off after the “miracle of Bern”, when the Germans won the world cup in 1954 (one of three world cups the Germans have won so far, and two more than England), wearing adidas football shoes that we’re quite water resistant for the time, and the first to have screw-on studs.

Nowadays the adidas Group is one of the very big producers of sports clothing and equipment. Besides adidas, the group encorporates other famous brands such as Reebok, and has its own golfing label called Taylormade adidas Golf. The annual turnover of the adidas Group exceeds 8 billion Euros today, with an upwards tendency.

The watch collection under the adidas label, stays true to the companys philosophy: Sporty and functional. The plastic chassis’ and wristbands are especially sturdy and are perfect for sports and leisure activities. In accordance with current “Zeitgeist”, the collection is designed using bright and cheeky colours – an absolute eye-catcher.
