The Prospex or "Sumo", as it is also called due to its striking case, has become a popular collector's item worldwide in recent years.
The characteristic crown placed at 4 o'clock, the rotating bezel deeply recessed in the case and the curved lugs allow the mechanical diver's watch to lie comfortably on the wrist. The stainless steel case surface features a combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Large LumiBrite indices and a clearly designed dial ensure optimum readability. The unidirectional rotating bezel gives the timepiece a distinctive diver's watch design in the tradition of the Seiko marine master. The 6R15 automatic calibre has a stop-seconds function and can be manually wound.
